“Pravasi Today” is engaged in various activities directed towards the Indian diaspora. It publishes ‘Pravasi Today’, a unique publication which is being circulated in 125 countries all over the world and will soon be launching a portal for Non Resident Indians (NRI).

Its latest initiative is a NRI film festival called “Pravasi Film Festival” to be held in collaboration with India Habitat Centre, New Delhi from                        4-6 January, 2010. This will coincide with the “Pravasi Bharatiya Divas” to be held in New Delhi. A very distinguished team of film makers, leading NRIs, diaspora personalities, eminent media persons and writers are involved with this project.

The High Commissioner of Mauritius and renowned actor, Manoj Bajpayee have agreed to be Patrons of this festival, which is likely to be opened by the Hon’ble Minister of Overseas Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi.

The films to be screened in the festival will be broadly categorized as follows:-

          (a)      Feature Films

          (b)      Documentary Films

          (a)      Short Films

Besides the film screenings, the Pravasi Film Festival 2010 will include a tete-a tete with diaspora filmmakers. Interested persons are invited to participate in this festival and make it a grand success.
