The 11th Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films (M.I.F.F. – 2010) is being organized by Films Division, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India between 3rd to 9th February, 2010 at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, India.

M.I.F.F. began its historic journey way back in 1990 and since then it has grown in size and stature as one of the premier international events of the documentary film movement. The biennial M.I.F.F. is attended by a large number of eminent documentary, short and animation film makers from India and other parts of the world.

The competitive festival has an edge over other festivals as it gives away the maximum monetary awards of a total worth of US $47,000 and mementos such as Golden and Silver Conches for outstanding films in various categories in the Competition Section. The past editions have been an overwhelming success and M.I.F.F. is now considered as one among the best organized international festivals in the world.

Copies of the Entry Form, Eligibility & Regulations and Awards of M.I.F.F. – 2010 are available on the website www.miffindia.in and www.filmsdivision.org Filmmakers, Producers, Directors, Organizations and Institutions are invited to participate with their film entries.

The cut-off dates for receipt of the Entry Forms and Selected films are as under:-

a. Last date for receipt of Entry Forms with Beta SP or Digi Beta (PAL only) (Digital/Analogue)/ DVD (All Code) / DV CAM (PAL only) or 35 mm film prints, Mini/ Micro SD Card with Adopter (in case of entry in Mobile Video) for selection will be 11 September, 2009.

b. Last date for receipt of selected films in Digital/ Analogue Video i.e. Beta SP (PAL only) / Digi Beta (PAL only)/ DV CAM (PAL only) or 35 mm film prints, Mini/ Micro SD Card with Adopter (in case of entry in Mobile Video) for selection will be 18 December, 2009.
