A grand reception was held on 26 January 2011, at Hotel Ramada Plaza Astana to celebrate the 61st Republic Day of India.  The programme began with the playing of the national anthem of India and Kazakhstan. Republic Day 2011 was celebrated by the Embassy of India in Astana in a solemn and joyous ceremony at the Indian Cultural Centre in the morning of 26th January 2011. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national tri-colour by Mr. Ram Singh, the Charge d’ Affairs.  The flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem sung by all the people gathered for the ceremony.  »»
