Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of India to Kazakhstan HE Mr. Ashok Sajjanhar presented his credentials to the President of Kazakhstan on June 19, 2007 at Presidential Palace, Akkorda. 
During the ceremony of receiving letters of credence, President Nursultan Nazarbayev commented that Kazakhstan had become a reliable responsible partner in the area of international relations over the short period of time passed from the announcement of its independence. "The main principles of our country’s foreign policy remain the same, namely those are balance, pragmatism and constructive dialogue."
The President expressed his satisfaction with the development of political dialogue with India. The two countries stand on close positions on most actual international issues. Kazakhstan sees India as a potential strategic partner and greets the development of bilateral relations in different areas including those in military and technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and information technologies.
The President also emphasized that Kazakhstan is a dynamically developing state, which combines its powerful economic growth with deep political innovations, renewal of social values and standards of living. Today, the republic is considered to be the leader in Central Asian and amongst CIS countries in terms of economy and politics, initiator and conductor of such initiatives as Congress of world and traditional religions, Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia. In this regard, Kazakhstan’s President expressed his confidence that the newly appointed ambassador would have an interesting and fruitful work.
